Electrical Design
Leading Automotive organisation are looking to appoint an Electrical Design Engineer to work within the Body department; which in turn is responsible for dealing with weld, paint & final assembly lines.
The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for:
* Electrical design of manufacturing equipment; including risk assessment, specification, quotation, hardware & software design.
* Software design: HMI, PLC & safety
* Hardware design: schematic, panel layout, cable harnesses & parts lists.
* Supervision of contract design engineers.
* Project planning & management.
* Supplier Support, development and control.
* Production Support / Problem
* CE marking of equipment.
The Electrical Design Engineer will:
* Have a minimum of 2 years design experience in the automotive industry.
* Have experience of design of automated manufacturing/special purpose equipment.
* Be proficient in PLC programming (Omron or Mitsubishi preferred).
* Be proficient in AutoCAD (preferably AutoCAD Electrical).
* Have experience with specification & design of schematic circuits.
* Have experience with commissioning & maturation of manufacturing equipment.
* Have strong communication skills.
It is desirable (but not essential) for the successful applicant to have experience of:
* Design of HMI screens, preferably Proface, Omron & Mitsubishi.
* BIW process knowledge.
* Report writing and presentation skills.
* Large and Small Project Control / Supervision.
* Machinery directive / machine building knowledge.
* CE marking & requirement knowledge.
* Design risk assessment capability. |
