Delivery of heavy duty Engine Control Units (ECU) to Quality, Cost and Timescale targets.
Responsibilities :
· Key customer interface for the Engine control units (ECU). Management of the customer to ensure that the ECU project is bound by the terms of the contract. Identify all customer recoveries.
· Project manage multidisciplinary teams, acting as the key interface to customers and responsible for ensuring all customer deliverables meet their cost, time and quality targets.
· Definition, planning, management and co-ordination of the ECU electronic hardware and software development and validation. Meet targets for quality, cost and delivery dates.
· Work with electronics hardware PM to ensure PPAP and SOP dates and quality requirements are met.
· Work with internal electronics component teams and PMs for FIE and platform.
· Work with HDB electronics system and s/w architects to deliver optimum solutions reusing s/w where possible.
· Ownership/management of the project budget.
· Manage the project using PDP/Traffic Lights Risk Management/Electronic Systems Workpackage
· Bid management. Ensure all aspects of project activity are documented, estimated and quoted to the customer.
Qualifications & Experience :
· Degree qualified in a suitable engineering or scientific discipline.
· In depth relevant industrial experience, preferably in the automotive environment.
· Project management experience will be required.
· Strong IT capability using MS Word, Excel, Power Point required plus MS Project would be a benefit.
