Connect 4 Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading organisation who specialise in paint finishing systems mainly with automotive customers and related parts manufacturers. Connect 4 are looking to appoint an Project Engineer.
***The Project Engineer must have paint process line experience.***
The Project Engineer’s prime responsibility is to take control of contract(s) or parts of contract(s) from the point of acceptance of an order to the successful buy off by and handover to the client.
The duties and responsibilities of the Projects Engineer are the:
1. Full technical & commercial responsibility & authority for contracts.
2. Establishing & controlling the contract team or working as part of a large contract team. The team members will be agreed with the engineering manager firstly.
3. Cost recording, forecasting, control & reporting and cash-flow forecasting.
4. The issuing of cost budgets to team members as appropriate to allow them to control their parts of the contract.
5. Reviewing all contract purchase orders prior to placement to placement to ensure that they are technically, commercially and contractually sound and that they represent value for money.
6. Ensuring good discipline, timekeeping, co-operation and harmony are maintained within the team(s).
7. Liasing, advising and guiding the designers to ensure that what is designed meets the specification, relevant standards, budgets and is what is required by the contract.
8. Preparation, issuing and updating contract schedules to ensure that the contract is finished on time and within budget.
9. Main point of contact between company and the client for all matters including design, schedule and costs.
10. Calling & chairing of regular contract meetings with the client, internal departments and sub-contractors as necessary for the successful completion of the contract.
11. Adherence to company policy and procedures including ISO 9000.
***The salary for the Project Engineer will be £25K to £40K + great benefits including Contributory Pension Scheme, Healthcare, mileage and daily allowances depending on the location of the person and our sites***
The Project Engineer will do a 37 hour week + agreed overtime.
***The work will be at Crewe and/or Derby. ***
