The person will be responsible for coordinating all the engineering activities on specific customer pump applications both in development and production, be the customer technical interface, and represent Engineering in cross functions teams.
Responsibilities:
· Manage the Engineering activities to ensure alignment with overall project timing and manage the escalation and resolution within Engineering
· Lead the technical communication with the customers to ensure customer technical requirements are understood, and resolve any technical roadblocks
· Communicate effectively, develop & conduct regular technical presentations internally, and to company’s customers
· Prepare and own customer related documents such as validation reports, customer specific DFMEA reviews, CPS etc,
· Agree pump packaging with the customer and ensure interface drawings are released with correct QCI & KPC definition,
· Define prototype definition (BOM) for all development and PPAP samples
· Lead and apply PDP process for Design reviews and represent Engineering in Gate reviews
· Track pump validation progress – both internally & at company’s customers
· Prepare minutes/action plans following meetings to ensure all affected teams are appraised of progress at all times
· Regular travel will be required for customer meetings
· Be positive, encourage, coach & share knowledge with all Common Rail pump cross functional teams
· To observe and practice all applicable company policies and procedures to ensure compliance
Qualifications & Experience:
Required
· Engineering degree or equivalent
· Design/development background
· Project Management experience allowing very low supervision levels
· Must be very well organised & disciplined
· Experience with working on multi projects – up to 3-4 at any time.
· Excellent communication skills
· Attention to detail
· Must be a Team Player
Preferable
· Fluent German speaker - reading & written as well (Optional, not essential)
