Connect 4 are working with a well-established Engineering and Manufacturing operation providing full turn-key service for automation, tooling, fixtures etc. They are expanding due to winning some high specification projects in and around the automotive/manufacturing industry. They are currently looking for a Robot/Automation Engineer who will be involved in hands-on robot programming, coordination of robot programming activities, working on process planning of existing contracts, providing process engineering support for new business quote proposals, liaising with like mined customer and supplier engineers to develop and integrate robot control interface to client specification and assist in the development and training of junior and apprentice engineers.

 

Key skills needed:

Robot programming (predominantly ABB Robots)

Experience within the automotive sector

To have & knowledge & understanding of robot control interface with ancillary equipment

Use of robot simulation packages would be of benefit

Connect 4 are working with a global specialist in Motion Centric Automation who have recently secured prestigious contracts up to £100M in value. They’re expanding the team rapidly and are looking for a post graduate to take up the position of Service and Application Engineer. You would be responsible for four main tasks: pre-sales, project engineering, aftersales, and providing technical training.

 

Key skills needed:

Service and Application Engineer

Pre-sales:

Providing support to the Sales Team by working out the practical details of the chosen solution;

Verifying whether or not a project is technically feasible, and explaining this to the client;

Building up relationships based on trust with the clients.

 

Project engineering:

Verifying whether or not a project is technically feasible;

Writing functional specifications and budgeting the engineering costs;

Providing on-site support for the commissioning

The development and maintenance of software;

Responsibility for product improvements, innovation, and standardisation;

Responsibility for the project handover to and project acceptance by the client.

 

After Sales:

Giving telephone support based on client enquiries;

The resolution of technical problems at clients, either by onsite visits or remotely online.

Technical training:

The organisation and implementation of internal and external client training and presentations;
